Strawberry Switchblade - Seaside (Go Away demo)

1.2.3.4.
-Tried Dragonfruit. Maybe a future post...
-MY BAGGU! An end of semester treat and on sale!!! It's suffered more abuse than necessary this summer and is so roomy.
-Some cheapo art supplies also on SALE.
-Jelly sandals. Probably the most practical yet impractical footwear I own. Even though I hate showing any part of my feet I caved and brought them cause they were what? You guessed it, ON SALE...

Indian Summer

The Cardigans - Rise and Shine
  this gif is dum -_____-
a quick post.

Last week I went on a short trip to Florida avec ma mère. I'm so done with finals it's not even funny, but I got A's in all my classes, woooot. As a treat for chaining myself to my books and computer, and ruining any chances at a social life (jk...sorta), I decided to go along. It was nice going somewhere that the weather does not call for dressing like the Michelin Man at all times!

Here are some pictures if you are into that sorta thing...
 (most of) WHAT I PACKED

WHAT I ATE
My camera died at the start of our last meal, but this is the best approximation of me eating the CHEESIEST pizza on the planet.
And for dessert...
How have I never had gelato before now?

 WHERE I WENT

HOLY SMOKES IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!! I know it's common practice for people to say this around this time, but where the hell did the time go!? How is school going for y'all? May you vanquish all the exams and return to normal sleep patterns soon!

ICE ICE Baby!

The Raincoats ~ Adventures Close To Home (press play)

Today I volunteered at the Indie Craft Experience (aka I.C.E.). I don't think I've ever written about them on this blog before!? Which is crazy because I've gone almost every year since tenth grade. In short, the Indie Craft Experience is a chance for small businesses and vendors to sell homemade goods in an indoor flea-market/ swap meet setting. There's always plenty of cool crafts, delicious food and good music. I wish I had more stuff for people who aren't local, but if you are in or around Atlanta check out one of their events. When you do, bring lotsa cash monay, because you WILL want everything in sight.

All images via ICE's facebook page.

I spent most of my time working the door, but I did manage to get some stuff. Sucky webcam photos for no reason other than I'm too lazy to get my camera.
One Screw Loose Jelly (AKA BEST Jelly on earth)
 Washi Tape
Homemade Jasmine/Shea Soap

Oh, I had the worst time getting home. My shoelace got caught and I fell off my bike in front of dozens of cars O_O. Luckily my pride was bruised more than anything else. Then a stink beetle flew into my face and when I tried to remove it, it squirted me! My eyes were watering the whole ride home. I made it back safe, and enjoyed my new bourbon jelly on some biscuits while watching The Fall, cause I'm a classy dame.

HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS! THE EVENT IS ON 'TIL TOMORROW.
ATL readers I beckon you to go. First 250 visitors get a free "swag bag" with some really cool goodies. Even if you don't get one you'll have loads of fun. Scout's honor.

In DeNile

My webcam is such shit, but I made a video. I talk about my hair and there are sailboats and I'm slightly green. Guys, I wish I could tell you I'm not this inept in person, but that would be a lie.

Here's some pictures.

Here's the tutorial I mentioned:

Ultimately this post was alot more trouble than it's probably worth, but I don't know, still let me hear your thoughts and stuff...

Plaid Girls' Club

Oh god, that title sounds like a Macy's Uniform ad :-(

So uhhhhherrrm yeah. It may be a bit early for most folks, but in Georgia, kids are already in school/headed back to school! Including yours truly (begrudgingly of course).

One thing I've always wanted was the perfect little school girl uniform, complete with plaid skirt, crisp blouse, knee highs, and Mary Janes/ saddle shoes. Of course, now that I am technically a *cough* adult *cough* it seems a bit strange...

I have yet to find the perfect little plaid ensemble, but here's a few images that have inspired me to take this look on:

Back to school and plaid...I know how wholly original :-p In other news:

I've taken to queuing posts more often! Well, not entirely by choice, but because I have no time for anything until the weekend :-( I'm writing a guest post for Vintage Fee that should be up some time with in the next two weeks. I'll add a link when that happens. Also, this is my first time using Polyvore for a collage. I'm not 100% sold. It is more efficient and organic looking than MS Paint (which is what I've used in the past).

oodles of doodles

I drew some stuff a while ago and, true to form, I'm finally getting around to posting some of it. I hoped to get my scanner running so I wouldn't have to rely on shaky camera images, but my scanner is made of SUCK.

Soooo here you go.
(Click photos to enlarge)

The above two photos are based on a Sylvia Plath story called Ocean 1212 W. I'd love to make a short film out of that story and call it Escargot...for reasons.

I found some water colors! Sadly, I'm bad at using them.

This is "Eli". I wish her name was pronounced like "E-Lie", but it's short for Elizabeth, so it sounds like "Elly". In the short story I'm writing -and will more than likely abandon very soon- she is a nurse to a former Bauhaus architect in the 50s. He has no one and her father was lost at sea. He is bedridden for some time and his joints are becoming arthritic. They forge a bond. That's all I have so far : (

There are tons more drawings and I have a lot of personal drawings with little witticisms and odd thoughts to accompany the image (they are essentially 1 panel comics) that I may post soon.
