I'm stuck between making ridiculous expectations for myself and just saying, "Hey whatever happens, happens." The past year was...eventful to say the least. Does the same go for anyone else?
Hope the holidays have treated you well and the food and drinks were good. Here's to a promising new year.
I don't really have any concrete "resolutions" so I can't really list any here. I would like to draw/paint/create alot more. Be spontaneous. Whatever the hell that means. Last year, I was so overwhelmed with pleasing others, that I neglected myself or it was extremely difficult for me to take the time to treat myself. This year, I want to self preserve, within limits.
It's okay to just sit at home and stare at the ceiling for hours on end after a particularly long week. It's okay to ride the train to the end of the line on early mornings and just be alone with your thoughts. It's okay to try on ALL the clothes in your closet ( and then meticulously put them back) like you've never seen them before. What I'm trying to say is everything is okay, you will be okay. Okay?

I really like your new layout - it's very "in-your-face" and unique compared to other blogs. I like it!!! It looks like you got some great gifts and I'm kinda jealous of your sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteI got a lot of sweaters (and I mean A LOT), a new planner for the year, some books I really wanted, some movies, and a pair of super comfy slippers. I got pretty much everything I wanted!
