Saturday's Song: Lust for Life - Girls

I've been on ghost mode for a minute, but I swear it's for good reason. I'm trying to readjust to school, but I'm finding things a lil more difficult this time around. I'm taking time this weekend to try and remedy some of this. I really hope all this work will pay off one day...
Anyway been listening to this song alot lately. What have you been listening to on repeat?
Have a majestic weekend!

Saturday's Song: Magic Colors - Pan Y Regaliz

This week felt like a roundhouse kick to the face.

I'm so glad that I queued a bunch of posts, because I don't know if I'll have the energy or mind capacity to post anything on here otherwise. I think once I'm finally settled in with school things'll get better...
H O P E F U L L Y

So, today's song is Magic Colors by Pan y Regaliz. Pan y Reguliz were a Prog Rock/ Psychedelic band from Barcelona, Spain. There sound reminds me a bit of Jethro Tull (mainly because of the drum and flute melodies), but the yearning vocals makes it a little more palatable than Ian Anderson's growl. I don't think this is an official clip for the song, but I found it interesting nonetheless. It really lifted my spirits.

I wish I had more to write, but I couldn't find much info on the band. I'm sure people avoid these little blurbs on the music anyway...and I'm tired.

Saturday's Song: Tout Va Bien - Pizzicato Five

In need of a pick me up due to this dreary winter weather we're having stateside? Look no further than Pizzacato Five!

Pizzacato Five (also known by the shorthand PV or P5) are a Japanese pop outfit recognized for their playful sound and huge music output. Their sound is a blend of Baroque Pop (a la Beach Boys), Yé-Yé, and Bossa Nova. They're said to have been inspired in part by acts like the Moody Blues and my personal favorite The Free Design.

I'm so entranced by their lead singer, Nomiya Maki, for her bright vintage and vintage inspired wardrobe, and energetic performances. The art direction for their videos is equally fun, paying homage to 60s pop culture iconography like the works of Jean Luc Godard, Funny Face and Twiggy.
That's all for now, enjoy your weekend!

Instead of "Saturday's Song", I made this mix about my inability to forge new relationships, staring creepily at man butts, crushes and stuff. All shitty artwork by me. Originals here and here.

Check it out.
Here is the tracklist. (right click, open image in new tab to enlarge)
Lemme know what you think.
